New Church

We launched a Bible study in our home a couple of weeks ago.  Please pray that those who attend will grow in their faith, and if they don’t have a relationship with God, they will place their faith in Jesus for salvation.

Beginning Tuesday, I will be volunteering for three days at a local middle school as a proctor for “End of Grade Testing” for the state of North Carolina.  Please pray God will give me wisdom and favor.

God continues to allow me to meet with people to discuss what he has called us to do here in Winston-Salem.  Please pray for me as I cast the vision of New Church.

As we continue to meet with people to discuss who might partner with us to help plant New Church, we are asking God to assemble a team of people who will commit to the vision “…to help people far from God experience new life in Jesus Christ!” Please pray for us to be able to discern God’s plan for our launch team.

Our family had the privilege of hosting a family Saturday evening who is interested in what God has called us to do through New Church.  This family brings no agenda to the table and would be a solid addition to the New Church Launch Team.  Please pray that God would make it clear to them whether or not they should partner with us to plant New Church.

Last weekend we made several solid connections with people in our neighborhood.  Please pray that God will give us opportunities to have follow-up conversations with our neighbors in the near future.

Sunday morning, our family knocked on every door in the housing development where we live and invited our neighbors to a Bible study in our home, beginning May 16th.  Please pray that as we study God’s Word together, those who attend will experience life-change through Jesus Christ!

1 Peter 5:8 makes it clear that Satan wants to destroy our lives.  Please pray a spiritual covering over our family as we do battle with forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

James 5:16 says, “…The intense prayer of the righteous is very powerful.”  Please pray that I will pursue God through prayer with intense dedication until I hear from him regarding the specific needs of New Church.
