New Church

James 1:5 tells us that if we need wisdom, we are to ask God, and he won’t rebuke us for asking.  Please pray with us that God will give us wisdom as we plant the gospel of Jesus Christ here in Winston-Salem.

We’ve been able to connect with several young families in our neighborhood recently, and we would like to get to know them better.  Please pray that as we begin to invest in them and invite them into our home, we will have opportunities to share with them truth from Scripture that can change their lives.

Our family attended an event on Friday that was sponsored by the school where our girls are enrolled.  Wendy and I met several other parents, and we were able to share with many of them the reason we moved to Winston.  Please pray that we will be able to cultivate these contacts for the purpose of pointing these people to Jesus.

We are currently working with a company to develop the New Church website.  Please pray God will give us wisdom as we finalize the details of what will serve as our pre-launch information hub.

God has allowed us to meet several people since we’ve moved to Winston-Salem, but we have not yet been able to form a launch team.  Please pray for us to meet solid people who are not actively participating in a current ministry but would be interested in helping us plant New Church.

I have several opportunities over the next couple of weeks to meet with pastors in surrounding towns who have planted churches that are reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Please pray that God will give me wisdom and favor during these appointments as I learn from those who have already experienced what God has called me to do.

We’ve only been in Winston-Salem for a couple of weeks now, and God has already allowed me to schedule several meetings for the purpose of sharing the vision he’s given me for New Church.  Please pray that I will continue to connect with people who can help us accomplish what God has called us to do.

God has been gracious to us through the transition from Jacksonville to Winston-Salem, and we are so grateful.  Please pray for us as we are getting settled in our new home and our new hometown.
